Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form goes to the outside provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of that search. If you send a message, we receive the information in that message and use it only to respond or handle the request.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting services create ordinary logs such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, if used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data helps operate the service, correct errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Links and Searches
Links may lead to Town, county, or Massachusetts records portals, library collections, archives, or sponsored search services. The privacy policy of the destination controls information submitted there. That includes any sponsored result provider.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct, or delete personal data a website holds. Because this service retains very little, a request usually concerns the contact mailbox or server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Massachusetts Public Records Law, G.L. c.66 ยง10, concerns records held by public offices; a request to remove or correct a government record must go to its custodian, not to this private service.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
